Coimbatore

A visit to a thriving Indian textile hub inspired Gudrun’s Coimbatore range, which reflects the industry and creativity of this bustling city. Gudrun visited the workshops to see how the textiles were made, from test runs on small ‘bit-looms’ to giant factories with fully automated looms.

Back in Sweden, Gudrun’s sketchbook quickly filled up with watercolour patterns featuring colourful checks and stripes, which became a recurring theme in the Coimbatore collection. The collection is made up of two eye-catching colourways. Shades of Red includes bright reds, soft pinks and purples, with hints of yellow, orange and green. For those who prefer softer shades, the Dark Colourway includes black, yellow-green and turquoise tones.

Kimono of the World

The traditional kimono silhouette has been combined with check patterns from around the world in an array of jewel-like colours.

The kimono is a fantastic transitional layer for autumn – you can wear it loose as a lightweight jacket or tie it at the waist for a more fitted silhouette. They’re made with 100% organic cotton, so they’re comfortable to wear all year round.
